John Bouchles, President
John Bouchles recently retired after serving as assistant principal at Lewiston High School for 26 years. He has been in public education for 32 years.

Joseph Poirier, Secretary
Joseph Poirier attends the University of Southern Maine, preparing for a career as a certified financial planner. He is an administrative assistant at Poirier Associates Financial Services.

Filomena Day, Treasurer
Filomena Day is president of Better Day Ventures and a personal, business, and executive coach. She is president of the Coaches Alliance of Maine, president of Better Days Organizing Plus, president of DR Enterprises, executive director of Women's Prosperity Connection, and past chair of the Androscoggin Chapter of the Maine Women's Network.

Margaret Rotundo
Margaret Rotundo is director of Strategic and Policy Initiatives at the Harward Center for Community Partnerships. She represents Lewiston in the State Senate and chairs the appropriations committee. She served eight years on the Lewiston School Committee and has served on numerous community boards. Rotundo received her BA from Mt. Holyoke College. She and her husband have two children who attended the Lewiston Public Schools.

Leon Levesque
Leon Levesque is superintendent of schools in Lewiston. He holds a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) from the University of Maine; his career spans 34 years in public education. Levesque serves on the executive committee of the Maine Superintendent's Association, and he has held leadership positions in many national and state educational associations.

Richard Albert
Richard Albert is the senior vice president of Parent Insurance Company and is past national director of Independent Insurance Agents of America. Albert serves on the board of United Way and was past chair of the Chamber of Commerce; he has served on the City Council and the School Committee.

Peter Geiger
Peter Geiger is executive vice president of Geiger and editor of the Farmers' Almanac. He chairs the Maine Coalition for Excellence in Education and is on the boards of St. Mary's Medical Center, Junior Achievement of Lewiston/Auburn, and St. Joseph's College. Geiger received a five-year appointment to the State Board of Education, and was chair. He earned a BS degree in business administration from Villanova University.

Laura Davis
Laura Davis is the Vice President and Co-Owner of Rinck
Advertising in Auburn, a full service advertising agency
that she and her husband, Peter Rinck began in 2000.
Laura’s work has won numerous awards including several
Silver Arrows from the Maine Public Relations Council.
Prior to her work in communications, Laura spent twelve
years in the public school system, eight of which she taught
sixth grade at Lewiston’s Montello School. Currently she
serves on the boards of the Maine Cancer Foundation and Camp
To Belong. She has also served on the L/A Arts board for
three years.

Bethany Turon
Bethany Turon, HR Manager at the Wal-Mart Distribution
Center in Lewiston, ME, has been with the company for three
years. She started as a Manager trainee in the Douglas, GA
distribution center. Bethany went to college at the
University of Florida, where she holds a BSBA in Business
Management, a BS in Psychology, and a MA in International
Business.

Darlene Cadorette-Levesque
Darlene has been in the HR field for more than 20 years and is
currently the Director of Human Resource at White Rock
Distilleries. Darlene earned her BSBA from Husson College
and is currently enrolled in their MBA program. She received the
HR Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). She
works with disadvantaged youth through her affiliation with the
Job Corps association

Mona Ervin
Mona Ervin is a retired educator, having
taught for 25 years in Auburn and Lewiston. She has a BS Degree
in Secondary Education from the University of Southern Maine and
a Masters in New England Studies from the same institution. In
1993, she was awarded a Master Teacher Certificate by the State
of Maine. Her organizational involvement includes: Staff
Development Chair - Lewiston High School; Coordinator of Support
Teams - Lewiston School System; Advisor - Washington
Workshops; Regional Director and State Director - Odyssey of
the Mind; Delta Kappa Gamma (Professional Organization for Women
Educators) - Mu Chapater President ( 2 terms), State Chairperson
- Personal Growth and Services Committee; Lewiston-Auburn
College Club - President; Board of Trustees - Auburn Public
Library; Board of Directors - Maine Coalition to Fight Prostate
Cancer; Grant Committee Chair.

Alexander l. Silva Alexander l. Silva builds modified high performance
computer systems and is a webmaster specializing in e-commerce and
graphic design. He was a volunteer producer,
cameraman, editor, lighting tech, sound tech, cg tech & actor at
Portland Public Access for 10 years before moving to the Lewiston area.
Alexander's first film which was a documentary called "Change" for
public access was written about in the paper and also used in the
Portland school system with their senior class. The film was a cinema Verte documentary about the homeless. Alexander was recorded playing
guitar on the CD Spectrum by Marc Silber at age 18. Alexander has had
a large amount of poems from his poetry collection published.
Noble House London & Noble House New York have published a great deal of them.
Alexander is also an artist and has sold 40 paintings to date including
10 painting which were given to charities to sell at auction. Alexander
l. Silva is the webmaster reformatting this site and in charge of
website updates. |
Staff
Anne Niemiec, Former Executive Director
Anne Niemiec was the director of Lewiston Adult Education for 19 years. She has worked in education for over 35 years. Niemiec received her MA in educational psychology from the University of Chicago.
